⌠ Amethyst and Pearl had been fused as Opal when trying to warp using a defective warp pad. On top of being dropped in an alternate reality in which none of the recent events they’d lived through had happened, including the beginnings of the Second War with Homeworld, they are unable to unfuse. Trapped in Opal’s form, they travel each new world she discovers for a way back to their own timeline to help finish the fight. ⌡

⌠ Opal is in constant inner conflict due to Pearl’s and Amethyst’s clashing personalities. She will often grow quiet and calm, seemingly in a meditative state when their thoughts are most dissonant as she tries to calm them both. At best, she appears constantly distracted or spacey because of this internal struggle, though once in a while one of the two gems’ personalities will shine through stronger. ⌡

⌠ She does not share Pearl or Amethyst’s thoughts, feelings, or knowledge. She is her own gem with her own thoughts and feelings, but she cannot draw on these things from her components unless they choose to share them. ⌡

⌠ Opal is very strongly demisexual. She really needs already established strong feelings for someone before she can really get behind anything sexual. She’s usually pretty confused by lewd or flirtatious behavior. It usually leads to quite a few misunderstandings on her part. She’s terrible at flirting back. Just awful. It’s painful, really. ⌡

i. I am selective. I originally wanted to be all-inclusive when it comes to other fandoms but at this time I’m changing that to Steven Universe canon/OC muses only. I’m very sorry about this, but at this time I just can’t seem to get Opal on board with chatting up very many muses outside of the fandom. But please feel free to follow me if you enjoy my writing! That makes a mun happy.

ii. I am private. This means that I will only roleplay with mutuals. I still accept asks from non mutuals! {We love being asked things!} Memes, M!A’s, general inquiries aimed at Opal are okay as long as you don’t intend to turn them into a thread!

iii. Formatting is minimal. I’m on mobile quite a lot so sometimes my replies don’t really follow any kind of formatting at all. Sorry if that bothers you. :c When I am home, I will use icons as often as possible and little text formatting. I could do more, but until mobile adds that feature then I will keep it to a minimum to keep things as consistent as possible.

iv. Length/Style. I tend to write replies in varying lengths when I really get into things. Please do not feel pressured to match my length. I can go from two paragraphs to short novels and back within one or two replies. Icons/Single line posts are fine and even encouraged, but if there’s action or description needed, I’ll break out the wall'o'text!

v. Speed. I am as slow as molasses in winter. I put a lot of thought and feeling into my replies and sometimes I’m just not feeling my muse for certain threads. I hate it, but that’s just how it is. I feel guilty enough as it is about this, so please be patient with me. If I get pestered too often, my anxiety will kick in and I’ll be forced to drop the thread completely.

vi. Schedule. I also work at a job that absolutely does not allow cell phones at the work space due to security risks. My replies while I am at work will be sporadic during my short breaks and lunch. At this time I work 1:30pm-10pm Mountain time with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.

vii. Godmodding. This is a no-brainer. Don’t do it. Simple things like your muse asking mine to hand them an object and mine complies is totally fine. It helps further things along without having to wait on me to write a rather unnecessary action. Now, if this object is important to my muse and she’s unlikely to give it up without a fight, that’s another matter.

viii. Magic!Anons. I retain the right to refuse any M!A I don’t feel like accepting. Don’t be afraid to send them in, but just don’t be upset if I don’t accept it. I may save it for later when I’m feeling it, who knows.

ix. Tags. I keep a basic set of tags. They will be in the format of { ___; } for things that tend to be triggers or commonly tagged things, such as nsfw content or selfies. Other tags that I use just for reference do not include the ; after the word, such as "Amethyst posts".

x. NSFW. I am over the age of 18 and I will be roleplaying adult themes on this blog, such as violence, gore, smut, etc. {Smut may be the most common of these as I don’t really see Opal getting too violent.} All of these will be tagged accordingly and placed under cuts. When browsing my page, please keep this in mind since tumblr savior and other blacklisting services don’t work on the blogs themselves, only your dash. That being said, I do not roleplay smut with anyone under the age of 18. Period. End of discussion.

I am an open book. If you ever have any questions at all, please never hesitate to hit me up via my inbox. I’m actually quite friendly, I swear. Don’t worry about offending me or upsetting me or anything silly like that. I’m super laid back. If you do something that bothers me I will gently tell you so.
